International Symposium on Essential Oils (ISEO) has been organized every year since 1969 in a different European town.
It offers a golden opportunity for essential oil scientists to meet, exchange views and discuss latest developments in the field of essential oils, natural volatiles, flavours and fragrances.
ISEO series of symposia are a school for young scientists to learn about essential oils and meet and listen to prominent lecturers who talk about most recent advances in the fascinating field of essential oils.
We have organized ISEOs three times in Turkey (28th in 1997 in Eskişehir; 42nd in 2011 in Antalya; 45th in 2014 in Istanbul). Next year, the 51st ISEO will be organized in Nicosia (Lefkosa), Northern Cyprus.
Cyprus is a peaceful eastern Mediterranean island with natural, cultural, historical and touristic beauties. It is an educational haven housing 19 universities with over 100.000 students from 120 countries. Golden-sand beaches, 5-star hotels, pleasant climate, museums, good food and reasonably priced restaurants and joyful tavernas offer ample opportunity to those who wish to enjoy other beauties along with scientific interactions. The largest citrus fruit juice concentrate and essential oil manufacturing facility is in Northern Cyprus which will be visited during the symposium.
I cordially invite scientists, students, traders, industrialists, perfumer and flavorists, agronomists, regulators, aromatherapists, and all those interested in or working with essential oils, flavours, fragrances, terpenoids and natural volatiles to attend the 51st ISEO next year in Northern Cyprus.
